Walk By Faith

For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

This is the perfect scripture for me in my life right now. My friend shared it with me and it was exactly what I needed.

With all that is happening in my life, it would be so easy to fold by the chaos around me. To get distracted, make the wrong decisions, and cause more harm than good because of my feelings.

Today, I am choosing to walk by faith. I made a big decision today, acting on something Yah put in my path as a blessing but (in my sight) was never my initial promise.

I choose to not walk by sight by letting the sickness, brokenness, and intimidation around me deter me from blooming where Yahuah has placed me. I am choosing to follow Him blindly and trust He will keep me and prosper me in the chaos around me. This is just the fire and I will fan the flame.

Scripture Breakdown

For we walk by faith

To walk by faith is to walk in the love of Yahuah, casting our cares unto Him because we truly believe His Word when He spoke that He cares. To remember the words and promises He spoke to us that we received on top of our mountains and to not throw them away when we are in the depth of a valley.

To let His Word lead us on a dimly lit path, one we cannot see. Stepping blindly, trusting that each step is ordered by Yah. Having faith that with each step the light of His Words will come from under our feet. To believe, trust, and obey Yah's Word while we work out out salvation with fear and trembling, and a love and desire for Him and Him alone.

Not by sight

To walk by sight is to walk in fear of the unknown because of the assurance of uncertainty, something we are commanded not to do. Something we must not do. When we walk by sight our faith gets weak.

Walking by sight feeds our flesh, leaving our spirits malnourished and our souls thirsting in hunger. We should be careful and intentional to not take heed or care of the things we see, over what God is saying or has already spoken.

We must take every thought captive and submit it to the authority of Christ, knowing that He will keep us in His perfect peace if we keep our minds stayed on Him. He will order our steps and cause us to walk by faith without even trying.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to right now in Yahushua name, giving you the glory praise and honor. We repent for our sins and anytime we have walked by sight instead of faith. Please help us to have faith and trust you and your plans in all circumstances. Help us to keep our eyes on you and yield our wants and desires to your will. Please remove a spirit of fear from us and make us to walk in your Spirit with power, love, and a sound mind. Please order our steps in your Word and give us a peace that surpasses all understanding when it comes to your will in our lives. Help us to be obedient and follow you at all times, so that we may give you your just due glory. May your will be done and your way be had in our lives at all times in Yahushua name Amen.
