The War Inside Me

There’s a battle happening inside every believe and most of us don’t talk about it. If you’ve ever felt stuck between what you want to do and what you should do, this is for you.

Galatians chapter 5 verse 17 says, “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.”

This lets me know that He sees us and He is extending His grace upon us.

Lately, I have been struggling with the sin of gossip and it seems that no matter what I do it keeps finding me. And I end up saying something or doing something that leaves me immediately convicted because I know it’s wrong. In my spirit I will to stop and to not give myself over to it but my flesh keeps giving in.

This is similar to what Paul spoke to in Romans chapter 7 verse 15 he says, “For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.” Paul too struggles with doing the right thing at times and falling short into those things that displease Yah.

Now, I know this doesn’t give us an excuse to sin and keep sinning but it lets us know that Yah is extending His grace to us. He sees that we will in our spirit to live according to His Word but there are times we fall short and don’t measure up. I want to encourage you that just as it was with Paul, it is with you.

Yah sees that you are trying and He sees the effort you are putting in to live a righteous life. Do not let the devil condemn you and make you feel guilty and less than. Yah does not condemn but He does convict.

Conviction is a good sign because it means that you belong Him and He is still leading you toward the straight and narrow path. Let conviction pierce your heart and keep working to live holy and leave behind sin. Do not let your shortcomings condemn you and make you feel unworthy of Yah’s love.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you right now in the name of Yahshua and we give you the glory, praise, and honor. Father, we want to repent for our sins and ask that you would help us to leave them behind. Please help us to do better and live according to your Words. For we know that in Matthew chapter 26 verse 41 it says, “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.” But we ask that you would help us to build up our spirit in your word and in prayer that it would become stronger than our flesh. We thank you for continuing to convict us and call us to better when we sin and we ask that you continue to do so. Thank you for not turning us over to ourselves, thank you for loving us enough to require more from us. Thank you for calling us to a life of obedience and righteousness. Give us power by your spirit to continue and stay on the straight and narrow path. Thank you for being a God of mercy and grace. Thank you for not turning your back on us and understanding the struggles we face in our flesh. Please give us strategy on how we can protect ourselves in this world and fortify our spirits against sin that we may glorify you in all that we do. We pray that your will be done and your way be had at all times. In Yahushua name we pray, amen.

If this prayer was for you, I want you to comment “I am redeemed,” because there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. You have been forgiven and Yah has given you everything that you need to go forth and sin no more. Share this with someone who’s fighting this same battle. I love you and I will see you in the next video.
